Questions, answered straight.
If your question isn't here, email research@ledgerbioscience.com — a real human reads the inbox and will answer within 24 hours, often within four.
Are these for human use?
No. Every Ledger Bioscience product is sold for in vitro laboratory research and analytical use only. They are not drugs, foods, dietary supplements, or medical devices, and are not intended for use in or on humans or animals. We will not advise on dosing, protocols, or off-label applications.
How are your COAs different from other suppliers?
Three differences. First, ours are issued by an independent lab we name on the page — not by us. Second, every COA is dated within the current quarter and tied to a specific batch ID printed on the vial you receive. Third, we publish the full report — chromatogram, integration, MS confirmation — not a one-page summary with a green checkmark on it. See a sample COA →
What's a batch ID and why does it matter?
A batch ID is a unique identifier for the specific synthesis run your vial came from. We print it on every vial. The product page links to the exact COA for that batch. If you order from us twice, you can verify whether the second vial came from a different batch — and check that the COAs match. Most suppliers do not let you do this.
What happens if a batch fails QC?
It gets destroyed and logged in our transparency report. It does not get sold, repackaged, blended into another batch, or relabeled. We expect to fail a small percentage of batches; that's how QC is supposed to work. See the failure log →
How fast do you ship?
Orders placed before 2 pm EST ship the same business day. Orders after that ship the next business day. Tracking is emailed automatically. Domestic delivery typically arrives within 2–4 business days.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, to a defined list of countries published on the restricted regions page. Customs, duties, and any local research-chemical regulations are the buyer's responsibility. We will not undervalue declarations or label packages misleadingly.
What payment options do you accept?
Card, ACH, Crypto (BTC, ETH, USDC), and wire for orders over $500. We deliberately maintain multiple options because payment processor instability is a real risk in this category.
Is the packaging discreet?
Yes. The outer shipping label carries no marketing language. The brand only appears once the box is opened. Privacy of the buyer is part of the buyer experience.
What's your return policy?
If a vial arrives damaged, unsealed, or with a label that doesn't match the order, we replace it at our cost. Email research@ledgerbioscience.com with photos and your order number. If a third-party test of your batch ever disagrees materially with the COA we published, send us the report — we will refund the order and investigate publicly.
Why do you sell only a few compounds?
Because we will only sell what we can fully document. Every new SKU has to pass internal QC, get an independent COA, and earn a place on the catalog. We grow when the documentation can keep up. Saying no to products is part of the brand.
Are you the manufacturer?
We are not a synthesis lab — we are a research peptide company that contracts synthesis to a named partner and verification to a separate named lab. Both are documented on the process page. We do not white-label from anonymous suppliers.
Who answers customer service emails?
A real person with a chemistry background, who reads every email in the research@ledgerbioscience.com inbox. Average response time is under 24 hours, often under four.
Can I get a sample before placing a real order?
For institutional buyers and verified academic labs we will send a small evaluation sample on request. Email research@ledgerbioscience.com from your institutional address with the SKU and a one-line description of your application. We respond within one business day.
How long is reconstituted product stable?
Storage and stability information is on each product's specifications block. Most lyophilized peptides in the catalog are stable sealed at -20°C, dry and dark, indefinitely; once reconstituted in bacteriostatic water and stored at 4°C, ≤30 days. The exact reconstitution solvent and storage window is product-specific — see the spec table on each product page.
Do you provide bulk pricing or institutional invoicing?
Yes. Email research@ledgerbioscience.com with the SKU, target quantity, and ship-to address. We will respond with a quote, an SDS, and PO terms within one business day. Institutional invoicing (NET 30) is available after the first order.
What if I'm not sure which compound I need?
If you are choosing between catalog SKUs based on your research question, the references block on each product page lists the foundational papers. Read those first. We will not recommend a compound for your application — that decision is yours and your supervisor's.
